13 Years of Punthai: A Journey of ‘Good Fortune’ We Want to Share
As many of you know, Punthai is a proud member of the PTG family, with our very first branch opening inside a gas station. We wanted to offer more than just fuel for vehicles; we wanted to provide a refreshing break for drivers and passengers alike. That simple intention was how Punthai was born 13 years ago.
However, serving refreshing beverages isn't the only reason we've made it this far. The true driving force behind our journey has always been Thai society. From our dedicated farmers, business partners, and baristas to our amazing customers who constantly create viral secret menus—you are the heartbeat of our brand.
This is exactly why Punthai is deeply committed to continuously giving back to society through various initiatives, honoring everyone who has walked this path with us. Here are 7 heartwarming stories we have shared together over the past 13 years. 🤎

1️⃣ Senior Baristas ('Punthai Wai Gao')
As we transition into an aging society, Punthai firmly believes in the value and potential of our senior workforce. We proudly opened our doors to baristas aged 50 and above, regardless of gender. Beyond providing a stable income and essential benefits, our senior baristas share that this opportunity gives them a profound sense of self-worth and the pride of stepping out to work every single day.

2️⃣ Junior Baristas ('Barista Noi')
If we have senior baristas, we certainly need junior ones too! Punthai partnered with Horwang School to establish an occupational training center. This hands-on, out-of-classroom learning experience allows students in business and finance tracks to discover their passions. Guided by our professional baristas, students learn everything from brewing and customer service to inventory management and overall store operations.

3️⃣ Flood Relief for Elephants In response to the severe floods in 2024 that deeply impacted both people and wildlife, Punthai stepped up to help alleviate the crisis. We donated 200,000 THB worth of food and essential supplies for elephants and other flood-affected animals through the Save Elephant Foundation in Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai.

4️⃣ Low-Carbon White Rice
Punthai proudly supports a new generation of farmers who cultivate rice using greenhouse gas-reducing technologies—from Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) systems to sustainable agricultural waste management. To celebrate our 13th anniversary and support eco-friendly farming, we are giving away low-carbon white rice from Kamphaeng Phet as a heartfelt 'thank you' gift to our customers throughout September 2025!

5️⃣ 1 Cup, 1 Support for Our Heroes
During sensitive border situations between Thailand and Cambodia, we invited our customers to send encouragement to our border patrol soldiers. For every cup of the ‘Three Musketeers’ coffee purchased, 5 THB was donated to support medical treatments and provide essential medical equipment for soldiers injured in the line of duty.

6️⃣ Refreshments for Blood Donors
Blood is a critical necessity for saving lives. To support and encourage blood donors, Punthai offered free refreshing beverages at our Phramongkutklao Hospital, Royal Thai Army Nursing College, and War Veterans Organization of Thailand branches throughout August 2025.

7️⃣ Supporting Thai Dairy Cooperatives
Amidst the raw milk oversupply crisis and plummeting prices in 2025, Punthai took action by purchasing pasteurized cow's milk from Thai dairy cooperatives at a fair price. This initiative helped thousands of farming families navigate the crisis, ensuring a stable income and fostering a sustainable circular economy for local communities in the long run.
